Meet Paul Pope. Owner and licensed building contractor.
I founded POPE Builders in 1985. I have been in the construction business since I was 15-years old, working on my time off from school. I started in the business working for an established award winning Contractor. Throughout the years I’m still in the contractors business as of today
I have had my Minneapolis City builders license for well over 20 years and have had my Minnesota State licensing credentials for almost as long. I’ve worked with some of the best home builders, construction companies and remodelers throughout my career.
Minnesota Commercial and Residential Experience
Working in both remodeling and custom home building. I have done build outs on AVEDA hair salons, built pool houses on Lake Minnetonka, built custom homes in Lakeville, Oakdale, Inver Grove Heights, Woodbury, Maple Grove, Medicine Lake and so on … I have built countless additions in South Minneapolis, both added rooms, baths, kitchens and complete 2nd story additions .
We work on a large variety of home improvement projects
There is no project too small or any project that is beyond our scope of work. We are just as well suited for day jobs as we are for 2 year projects.

Hands on Work
The most important part of building is that the builder be on site, available and recognizable throughout the project. I don’t sell and leave as you see in the vast majority of construction companies today, rather I listen, come to an understanding of what the home owner wants, considering budget, tastes and longevity of their stay .
From that point forward I am always personally accessible whether via the phone or on site, I make daily appearances and am always on a constant overview of the project down to the smallest of detail.
This is in my opinion the ONLY way to be in the business and be successful, but most importantly it is the ONLY way to make Your project successful.
Success is what we strive for and that is only achieved through full time hands on Owner operated and occupied projects.
